Very well-written, engrossing story. Definitely required some suspension of disbelief, but she wrote well enough to make that pretty easy.I was a little bothered by David's inability to understand that Ethan just might actually love him, after the sex. Before, I could see it. But after, it seemed like he should at least be considering it a possibility, even if he fears it's wishful thinking. Also, seemed like there was a lot of setup for major trauma in David's childhood that would explain a lot of his fears. And his extreme reaction to The Event in Santa Fe. But if so, it was never revealed. Felt a bit like a hanging thread, one I'd have liked to see tied off.Other than those niggles, I loved it and am eager to read more by her.
