I think this is around a 3.5ish rating on reread. I mostly enjoyed it, but there were a few places Jack was overly caveman-controlling and Ella seemed to let it go as a joke or okay. Like when he said he'd have to kill Dane if she ever saw him again. WTF? She and Dane had been good friends for years, and parted as friends. Why shouldn't she continue to see her friend Dane, even if she had a sexual relationship with him previously? That bugged the hell out of me, as that's the sort of stupid macho posturing bullshit I would never, ever, put up with. Yes, some of my friends are male. Yup, once (or more) upon a time I had sex with them. As long as I'm not fucking them while dating you, why the hell would it matter? Deal with it. Jealousy is not attractive.
