This is an amazing story, if read for the Jules-Robin relationship. I get the impression that was the story Suzanne Brockmann really wanted to write, and the Ric-Annie relationship was added as filler so she could sell the book in a m/f market. Which is a shame on multiple levels, since I think Annie is pretty darn kick-ass and her story could have been an awesome one. As it is, there's nothing wrong with it, exactly, it just lacks a certain spark.
