3.5 stars rounded to 4I'm glad this wasn't the first book of hers I read. I probably would have wanted to read more, but not with the same eagerness. I suspect it would have been similar to how I felt about Marie Sexton books after Promises, until all the hype finally persuaded me to try another. By not starting with this book, I got to enjoy it knowing everything else by her is better (much like re-reading Promises now).
