
I enjoyed re-reading it, but perhaps more for the memory of the time-that-was rather than present day. It was a bit too much of an OTT caricature for me, in a way that Midnight Rainbow wasn't, for all that the two books are similar. Kell Sabin was just that extra bit *more* of everything than Grant, and that took him from believable, relatable hero to eyerolling. I also didn't like Rachel as much as Jane, or the relationship between the two MCs. In fact, my greatest pleasure in it may have been toward the end, when Jane and Grant put in an appearance.
