Atlas Shrugged

Atlas Shrugged - Almost everyone I know who has read this either loved it or hated it. I seem to be part of a minority (at least among people I know) who had neither reaction. I thought it was interesting. There were some things I loved about it and some I hated. I'm glad to have read it, as it gives me a frame of reference to better understand all the people in my life at either extreme.I complain a lot about many modern books lacking editing, but this is a great example that it's not a modern phenomenon. Near the end I skimmed a couple hundred pages that were repeating (and repeating and repeating) old information. I'm pretty sure it was during the longest monologue ever. You know, the one that would lack that claim to fame had it actually been - gasp! - edited. I really don't think I missed anything when I plugged back in to start reading carefully again.
