Touch & Geaux - Abigail Roux It's been a month since I read this, I think it's past time to review it. I got side-tracked by other things, so it seems I'm not going to give this much more thought right now. Therefore, I'm just going to post the review I wrote when I first finished it.I think I'm leaning toward rating this 3 stars. It's the first Ty and Zane book where I found the status updates and interactions with other readers more engaging than the book itself. I kept pausing to post an update in the hopes of entertaining others as I'd been entertained, and then getting distracted poking around Goodreads for a while. Eventually I'd remember I was supposed to be reading this, and get back to it.Each time I picked it back up, I did enjoy it. Mostly. There'd be entire sections that would pull me in, make me grin, and remind me why I love these books and these guys so much. And then there'd be entire sections where I'd be rolling my eyes.It had way too much of a Mary Calmes feel to it, with all the Ty love all the time. And Zane seems to have become a wimp somewhere along the way, with only moments of strength and brilliance before fading back into simpering wallflowerness again.I also never understood what Liam had against Ty, why he felt the need for revenge. Either I missed something, or that was never made clear. But I scratched my head over that one more than once. None of that made any sense to me.I know T&Z books tend to be full of OTT action and obvious plot holes as our agents fail to see or connect the most obvious of clues. But it bothered me more in this one. Not sure if that's because it was more egregious or if I'm just getting burned out. I think I'm going to have to make a point to avoid as much of the upcoming hype as possible in order to increase my chances of enjoying the last two books.I was literally rolling my eyes as I read the final paragraphs of this book, which doesn't make for the most satisfactory finale. Not just because it was such a blatant setup for the next book, but also because there were ridiculous things that I just couldn't buy. Ty and Zane sharing their first "purely honest kiss"? I don't think so. But if I were to believe that, I might consider them too pathetic to bother with in future, and that would be sad. Because when these books are good, they are a rollicking good time.
