4.5 starsI loved it! I got engrossed in it in a way I've been finding all too rare lately. I enjoyed the characters, how they complemented each other, and the development of their relationship. I appreciated the attention to details such as how Jason couldn't get lunch on his own. I thought Jason took a little too easily to his restricted freedom, but his relationship with Devin helped it seem more plausible.And then the end... sort of fizzled for me. I'm not sure if Devin required the over-used danger-to-realize-feelings plot device or if he'd begun to be aware of his feelings for Jason already. I think it would have been a stronger story if we'd seen Devin recognize his feelings and plan to do something about them before Jason was in danger. The danger situation would have been just as exciting, maybe even more so, and the whole scenario wouldn't have had me rolling my eyes at the triteness.
